I'm a French front-end developer, who has been working with companies for over a decade. I came to code through my passion for graphic design, out of a need to put on screen what I had in mind.

From 2018 to 2024, I worked at Cher Ami, a graphic and digital design studio in Lyon, France, first as a developer, then as lead front-end developer. I was responsible for developing and maintaining the studio's tech stack, while also managing production and mentoring new developers.

Since 2024, I've been freelancing for studios and agencies, working mainly on complex design systems, project architecture and interactive experiences, with back-end knowledge.

I learned engineering by rebuilding algorithms, patterns, frameworks and libraries from scratch. I need to understand the underlying principles before using the high-level abstractions of the web tools I use every day. It has always been my way to learn. Some of these rebuilds led to APIs that fit the way I work, and turned into open-source libraries .

This is also why I write a journal about the technical challenges I face, with interactive demos and visual explanations. Writing is something I especially enjoy alongside production work. To date, my articles have been read more than 40,000 times, and some were shared on Hacker News.

Algorithm puzzles also contribute to my learning and help me keep my knowledge sharp. With AI always one prompt away, I want to make sure I can still solve problems on my own.

On client projects, I use AI when the constraints allow it, privacy first, and when the task calls for it. In any case, my commits are mine: I want to be able to explain and maintain every line I ship.

Finally, I see accessibility and performance as a framework for building lasting products, one that leaves all the room for creativity in motion and interaction design. All three can, and should, coexist on the web I want to contribute to.
